About Jesse

Growing up Jesse was always athletic, playing soccer and tennis throughout high school. He saved up to buy his first bike, and soon after was almost never without it. After entering college Jesse began running and weight training, and spent the next several years reading books on weight training and nutrition, as well as keeping food and training logs to track performance. Also during this period, Jesse worked at a nutrition supplement store, recommending supplements and answering questions from customers. This experience helped him to gain a significant amount of knowledge of supplements, as well as real-world nutrition knowledge from customers. One day, Jesse happened to catch a triathlon, on television, and was immediately intrigued. During the summer of 1997 Jesse crossed the finish line of his first local triathlon, and was immediately hooked. Following that, he began to refocus his efforts onto one sport; triathlon. In 2000, after years of body building, Jesse completed his first real triathlon season, including a half-ironman in just over six hours. Since then he began to keep extremely detailed records on every training/nutrition plan and each workout that he completed. Using these records, he developed detailed training and nutrition protocols that have proven, time and again, to work. These protocols have been developed over years of trial and error and sport research. These are the same protocols that have now produced Ironman Champions and countless Kona qualifiers.

Based upon these protocols, in 2005 Jesse began creating QT2 Systems as a coaching outlet to those who have already peaked the performances that they can reach on their own, and are looking to make a jump to the next level. Jesse’s vision was to have a core of coaches who were equally trained in the QT2 coaching protocols, as well as a commitment to every possible detail. Under this philosophy, and the mantra “if your coach can’t tell you why you are doing a particular workout, then get a new coach”, QT2 was born and has grown to be one of the world’s leading providers of multisport coaching. In 2010 Jesse created TheCoreDiet.com with a similar purpose: to take athletic nutrition to the next level of detail, with an equally trained core of specialized nutritionists.

What separates Jesse’s coaching from the others is equal attention to nutrition/body composition, race fueling, training protocol, mental fitness, and race execution. Jesse’s approach, and that learned by the other QT2 coaches, is very detail-oriented giving consideration to all aspects of training, racing, and nutrition. Jesse’s One-on-One coaching services are for 100% committed athletes who have significant potential, or are currently racing at the professional level. If you feel you fit this description, then you are encouraged to contact Jesse.

Currently, Jesse focuses on continuing to be the best coach that he can be for his athletes, utilizing logic, technology, science, and any other means available.
